Description
A utilitarian overcoat, reinterpreted in structured, weather-resistant cotton from Halley Stevensons in Scotland. Based on a 1940s military garment, this unisex version is cut in a dry-wax finish that offers water repellency without the shine or stiffness of traditional waxed canvas.
The fabric has a dense, almost papery hand that softens with wear, developing character over time. Finished with flat felled seams throughout and Italian horn cat-eye buttons. Sleeve cuff tabs nod to the coat’s functional origins. Unlined and versatile, it layers well and can be worn open or buttoned.

Woven and finished in Dundee, Scotland by Halley Stevensons, pioneers of weatherproofed cotton since 1864, this unique fabric is made with Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) certified cotton and finished using a dry wax process. Weather-resistant without the shine or stiffness of traditional waxed cloth, it protects from the elements and breaks in like leather, softening and molding to the wearer over time. Waxed cotton garments can be reproofed regularly, making them steady companions in inclement weather, and in life.
