Description
Our reference for this style was a men’s jacket from the early 20th century, bearing the handwritten name “J.P. Fetherston, Aug. 1918” on the inner pocket. Two front darts create subtle shaping through the waist, while the relaxed shoulder and sleeve opening allow for ease of movement.
For Fall, the Fetherston is offered in two ways. This version is cut in pure merino wool herringbone, woven by Magee in Donegal, Ireland. Left unlined, as in our summer version, it keeps the same easy structure while remaining light enough to throw on as an effortless layer as the season turns.
Finished with Italian horn buttons, three front patch pockets, an interior patch pocket, a peak lapel, and a cuff vent.

Irish Lightweight Herringbone

A fine herringbone in salt and pepper, woven from 100% merino wool in Donegal, Ireland by Magee. Lightweight and fluid, its broken zigzag creates a subtle surface texture while the quality of the wool keeps the cloth soft and easy to wear. One of the oldest recorded textile patterns, herringbone has been used for centuries for its distinctive geometry and durable construction.
