Description
A near-faithful remake of a beloved shirt from Sam’s personal collection, worn nearly threadbare from decades of use. The original takes its cues from a 1940s work shirt bearing a “Strongwear, Philadelphia PA” label. A favorite from our summer collection, here it is recut for cooler weather in an ultra-soft wool and baby alpaca weave, while retaining the original hemline and flap pockets that have proved themselves year after year.
True to its workwear origins, it features a pointed vintage collar, functional pockets, and a triangle side gusset for ease of movement and durability. Shirred cuffs, a detail emblematic of pre-1940s workwear construction, allow for comfort and flexibility while preserving a clean line.
